very dishonest bunch

I bought a second hand car on layby recently. There were some good moments and some bad up to handover but they were patient and the handover itself was excellent! They even threw in 2 new tyres which came in very handy given that one popped before I even got home after the car had been standing for so long. From here it got disastrously bad though. The paperwork was another 2 months of absolute drama. It was like pulling teeth. And the rudeness! And dishonesty! I only ever received ONE phone call advising of why it was taking so long. After supplying proof of residence how many times, I still have a bogus address on my car papers, dated more than a month prior to the last time the dealership claimed they hadn't done anything because they needed residential proof again. At one point a driver came to my house asking for my actual id book! No called to tell me this and they actually expected that id book when they couldn't even hold onto photocopies. Lastly, there was a R1000 fine. They ducked and dived and **** and whatnot! But it was merely an administration issue which I wasn't exactly going to trust them with anyway. As a first time car buyer I clearly knew more about how to handle legal car issues than the dealership anyway. Another big issue was that when I bought the car, I negotiated a service. Because it seemed to be the norm at dealerships. They made like they had done me a huge favour even though they couldn't show me the old parts nor sign the book. Aftetr replacing the breakpads and sorting a few very obvious very simple things, it's clear that this too was a lie.
