Utterly disgusted with Willow Crest Motors and owner Mark.

Bought a Peugeot 208 - salesman Carl. Nothing wrong with the purchasing process, however, after delivery everything goes pear shaped. Vehicle was delivered to me on Saturday afternoon 24th April. Dealership is in Randburg, I live in Pretoria. Took the vehicle to the garage on Sunday 25th, not a drop of water in the vehicle, topped it up and monitored it from there. Unfortunately I did not phone the dealership to advise that I had received the vehicle with an empty water tank. Thereafter had to keep filling the water tank. On Tuesday evening, 4th May, after I had the car for 1 week and 2 days, I could not get the bonnet open. As I had purchased a mechanical warranty with the vehicle, I contacted Insure Africa to find out from them what I should do and they suggested that I take the vehicle to my nearest MRI affiliated service centre which is in Montana, Pretoria. Took the vehicle to them and the first thing they did after managing to get the bonnet open is to do a pressure test which immediately showed where the leak is. From the water marks on the defective part, it is very clear that this is an old leak which should have been repaired by the dealership prior to them selling the vehicle. The service centre also found a shudder on the clutch and the clutch kit needs to be replaced and the flywheel skimmed. Insure Africa requested photo's of the clutch and flywheel, and after their technicians scrutinized the photos, they approved the repair. Total quotation for ALL the issues that were found on the vehicle amounts to R22,000. Insure Africa will pay up to R10,000 and I now have to foot the bill for latent defects on the vehicle that were not corrected by Willow Crest Motors prior to them selling the vehicle. I was advised that Willow Crest have a service workshop on their premises, but they give customers defective vehicles and then expect the customers to bring the vehicles back to them again. My mom decided to speak to the owner, Mark, who immediately started screaming at her when she mentioned the Peugeot 208. He also told her that he would not be fixing anything on that vehicle because of my mistake, My only mistake was buying from Mark and Willow Crest Motors in the first place. However having seen the other complaints with regard to their "servicing" and "fixing" of vehicles, it may be a blessing in disguise to NOT take the vehicle back to them.
