Negative points almost outweigh the positive
1. The chair is much bigger and bulkier than the older model the Rep demonstrated. 2.We were not told by the Rep, at the initial point of sale, that the chair needed to be on a carpet. 3. I find the little wheels very small, in relation to the chair and it is very difficult to get at the brakes of each of the 4 wheels. One has to turn the wheels around, by hand, on all fours- quite a physical feat for aging people. 4. We find my mother needs to be able to lift her feet up, to combat swelling ankles, without necessarily lying back at the same time. This function is not available in Willowbrook chairs.

Thank you for your feedback and allow us to address some of your concerns. The recliner demonstrated was not an older model, it is a current model available on our website (Serenity), however a different model combination was selected by yourselves which has larger proportions to the one you tested (Venetian base with Serenity back). Depending as to where the chair is been placed and the ability of the user, due to the nature of the smooth surfaces such as tiles or wooden floors one may need to place the chair on a rug to prevent the chair from moving if one falls in the chair. However, if the user sits in the chair when its raised and lets the chair lower them down, the front wheels lift off the floor and a stabilizing bar ensure that the chair wont move under normal circumstances. We are not entirely sure as to why one would need to repeatedly lock the wheels as once the recliner is in the place you want to use it, one then only has to lock the back wheels once and our technicians would lock the wheels when they deliver and install the chair for you. In regards with the movement of the chair, it is the same as the one demonstrated in that the back reclines when the feet lift. Only lifting the legs with the back upright tends to be very uncomfortable in the stomach area.
