I ordered a chair with the guarantee it would with 2 X 9v batteries get it into normal position in an power failure. I received my chair, technicians were friendly and in no time had my chair together, showed me the remote, I understood and off they went. First operation I discovered that the head cushion and back cushion had been connected incorrectly in that they had been stopped and the seat cushion was extremely hard. They responded to my request for a technician and it was quickly fixed but I was told that's how the seats are it will soften slightly over time. Not what I expected. First power failure I was stuck in the chair as although I had inserted brand new batteries they did not function to return the chair to its normal position. I have contacted Charlton by email now several times and he keeps insisting they are there to get it to normal position only, well I would love it if it dud even that. They have now put in 2 sets of new batteries, one being on a Monday morning and the Friday of that week we had no power and you guessed it it didn't function. I would never have bought the chair without this living in a country that has several power problems and no one seems to care. Also got a problem with the foot rest not function always as it should, only sometimes, even sent them a video but no one seems to find a problem and it continues to do this daily. For the amount of money we pay for these chairs you would expect more. I am extremely disappointed, I am 66 with a auto immune and cannot sleep in a bed so I rely on my chair functioning as it should, always used a normal recliner but thought this would be money well spent and it would help me more than a normal recliner I am afraid it does not fill my expectations
