Business Review on Willis Towers Watson’s Service in Handling a pension fund Beneficiary Claim

My experience with Willis Towers Watson has been marked by ongoing frustration, unmet promises, and severe delays in handling a critical case involving my late brother’s adopted son. My brother passed away on August 28, 2021, leaving behind his son, who is both mentally and physically disabled. My brother made extensive efforts to ensure that his son, who he adopted as an infant, would be financially secure if anything happened to him. This child, who recently turned 17, has the intellectual capacity of a four-year-old and the physical development of a ten-year-old. He will never be able to lead an independent life.

Willis Towers Watson presents itself as a company that secures a “better tomorrow” by helping clients manage risk. Yet, three years on, Willis Towers Watson has not provided any resolution or clarity on this case. Despite countless inquiries, the response we receive is that this case is “complex” and that we are still waiting for a decision from their experts and the board of trustees . It seems unfathomable that a company specializing in risk management could not provide any substantive feedback on a case as vital as this for over three years.

Willis Towers Watson’s handling of this matter not only reflects poor service but also raises significant concerns about their reliability in delivering on promises of security and peace of mind. Anyone considering entrusting their loved one’s future should think carefully. The reality we have faced suggests a gap between promises and the reality of support.

For any company, but especially for one in the business of safeguarding futures, such delays and lack of transparency are unacceptable.
