Disgraceful service received.

I have never experienced such poor quality and arrogant service from ma dealership in over 3 decades of being a car enthusiast and collector. I have to warn other consumers about this obnoxious and poor service received from them.

I had been away, and the vehicle needed a major service, as it hadn't been serviced in over a year. I previously had good experience with this dealership, but this dealership has now moved from where Opel dealership used to be, to a new address in Ontdekkers Road. It so happens, that the entire dealership has also changed over hands, in terms of owners and staff. I was sceptical about leaving my vehicle there, as I had never been to this "new" dealership before. I requested a major service to be done, oil, filters, spark plugs, and they needed up calling me for additional work like the timing belt/tensioner as well as rear drums and shoes - which I agreed to do. The service advisor gave me over the phone quoted prices, which were alarming to say the least. All rounded off numbers, no cents. When I asked for a discount for this vehicle's service, he said he would, as this vehicle's service costs were now over and above what I pay for one of my sports cars. I received a call from the service advisor to say that the vehicle is ready to be collected. Upon arrival at the dealership, the advisor observed me coming, but continue to talk to his colleagues, disregarding that I had arrived to collect my vehicle. I thought nothing of it at first, and went inside to make payment. In hindsight, I should have checked my vehicle first before paying. When I saw the invoice, I realised that the prices were all gouged, where there stated 10% discount, but the base price had automatically increased! (And also to round numbers, no cents!) So there was no discount, just a base price increase, to perhaps fool me with the "10%" discount that appeared on my invoice. Regardless, I paid the invoice in full. I wasn't going to waste my energy on this, and just wanted to obtain my vehicle, which I assumed was ready, as promised by the service advisor. After I paid and walked over to my vehicle, I was shocked in what I observed. The vehicle was filled with grease marks on the bonnet, side mirrors, door and tailgate. The inside of there vehicle was dirty. I proceeded to open the engine bay. And you guessed right, the engine bay was dirtier than before. Grease/oil ,marks everywhere, nothing cleaned. I complained and requested that the service manager come to assist me. At this point, I was discarded like rubble from the service advisor. he clearly was *********** to the core. And could not give me any reasonable explanation, as to why my vehicle was in such bad condition. The service manager came out and I explained to him as well. For whatever reason, he also seemed inadequate to deal with customers, as he took offence to me complaining that the vehicle was dirty. Making excuses that the vehicle's engine bay was not washed because of this and that. What about the rest of the vehicle? So he committed to collect the car the next day at 09:00-09:15. I waited until 09:45. Was already two hours late for my meeting, because of this. My helper eventually called me to say that the drivers arrived at 11:30! I was long gone by then. The arrogance of the service manager, not to prioritise this as a workshop comeback, since that is exactly what it was. And then no sense of urgency at all. making me late for work by two hours, and then drivers arriving at my home to collect the vehicle 2.5 hours later than promised. The Dealer Principal did call afterwards to apologise, and was very professional, unlike the ***********, arrogant service advisor. I only went there to give them business - to service my vehicle. This was completely unnecessary. Whoever is in charge of the washday and the vehicle (which should be the service advisor dealing with my car), just took off, no apologies, discarded like trash under my shoe. The service manager followed suit. Hopefully we can sort this out soon, but it was by far the worst service experience in my life. Heads need to role at the dealership.
