wild waves disappoints

<p>Good Day</p> <p> </p> <p>I have visited the Wild Waves Water Park in December 2016. We are from Gauteng and therefore was really looking forward to our visit to KZN as the kids have been waiting to visit your water park ever since it opened. Much to my amazement we had the worse time ever. I have decided to share my experience with you as it is a learning for future guests to your water park.</p> <p> </p> <p>These were the problems that we experienced while we were there.</p> <p> </p> <p>1. We stood in the queue in the blistering sun from 8am we finally entered the premises at 9.40am.</p> <p>2. We were never told to pay for an umbrella and chair when we enter</p> <p>3. We then had to stand in the line again for 30 minutes to get umbrellas and chairs</p> <p>4. There was no assistance with putting up the umbrella, not all of us come from an environment where we are able to stabilize an umbrella on beach sand in a windy environment with 3 kids on hand</p> <p>5. There was a reptile show at the park of which we saw a reptile on the loose while were on the lazy river, I don’t even think they were aware that the reptile had escaped.</p> <p>6. We went to order food and my god was that a mission, we ordered 2 large pizzas and debonairs which was fine</p> <p>7. At the same time we ordered 2 burgers and chips with a coldrink at steers, believe it or not, we waited 1 hour 30 minutes for those burgers of which they gave us the incorrect burgers, after that long wait, who would want to return them and wait for the correct burgers.</p> <p>8. The worst and final experience was when everyone’s umbrellas started flying out of control and no one to assist in controlling them, an umbrella flew from nowhere and missed by 18 month old by an inch, it hit my husband, straight in the head, he fell down dizzy and almost unconscious as he couldn’t even see clearly, the metal pipe of the umbrella hit the side of his head so badly that it was swollen on our entire vacation. My question is, what if it had hit my 18 month old son, the end could have been disastrous. I mean a place like that with a reputation that precedes them, are you not able to get people to assist with outing up umbrellas making sure that they are securely into the ground. If the sand is not deep enough, is it actually safe to even have umbrellas. I am shocked and disappointed at our experience at wild waves. We have even been to the umhlanga beach and they have people assisting with putting up the umbrella. When the umbrellas were flying around not even 1 staff member was anywhere in sight, things could have gotten so out of control. We had to leave immediately to make sure that my family was safe.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is utterly disappointing to expect this type of service from a sun international facility. Please visit sun city and see the experienced as compared to your facility. Please upgrade, we pay a lot of money to enter these places, we expect safety and most of all enough security around to make sure things are going as they supposed to. It was our first visit there and I am not sure that I would want to risk our lives to come there again. I hope the next time I ever come there, I will have a good experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would appreciate a response.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
