Etoll Payment and No contact from the office

Two days ago, Monday, 21 December, I went to the Johannesburg branch for an inspection of a car I had been driving. I was referred to the office and was informed that I needed to take a new vehicle as the one I was driving needed to get a new license.

My contract was pulled out and I was told that I owe around R12 000 in etoll fees. This can’t be any truth to the matter as I don’t reside anywhere close for extensive use of the gantry. I was made to make a payment of R1532 in order to start a new contract. Over and above this, I was made to wait for almost 2 hours for the matter to be solved.

There was only one person working at reception and he seemed overwhelmed at the volume of request he had to perform.

On top of this, I had to pay R6000 for a new car and get a new vehicle. Surely there is a way to identify if there are escalating costs and not get customers shocked by obscene amounts of money.

Reviewer Update
I have emailed the customer centre and have sent a private message and I have not been responded to. I believe this company merely puts the front that they are doing something, and yet I have not been helped. It's been more than a week already.
