Bad Service from the Staff

I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable service I received from Patience when collecting a geyser. Before the geyser was loaded onto my vehicle, I politely requested that the staff member assist me in checking the item to ensure it was in good condition. Instead of helping, the lady became rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily angry. She refused to inspect the geyser with me and insisted that I sign to confirm that I had received the goods in good condition before I had the opportunity to inspect them. I believe it is unreasonable to expect a customer to acknowledge that an item is in good condition without first being allowed to verify it. My request was simple and intended to protect both myself and the store from any future disputes regarding the condition of the product. I was disappointed by the way I was treated. I expected courteous and professional customer service, but instead I was met with hostility and a refusal to assist. I request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate steps be taken to ensure staff treat customers with respect and allow them to inspect items before signing any confirmation of receipt. I also ask for feedback on the outcome of this complaint.
