Whitfields Property Agents don't manage!

Lets get it straight this so-called management agent company is nothing of the sort! When it suits them to even respond, to something they do not want to address, they revert to the HOA, which does as little as possible, and it is an administrative matter - management just flew out the window! I cannot figure who hides behind who? We live in Plantation Club and there is absolutely very little management of the complex. Lots issues, lots of emails threatening to do something about age old common problems but no action - what is that saying about Big Chief(s) no............ Recently we had the pleasure of traditional healer moving in next door. I won't even go into detail about all the issues except to mention a number of threats to kill me motherf....... (Whitfields took ages to even acknowledge) and an attempted assault with a rebar. Called TRSS who had a sit down with a bottle of water but no action! Suddenly Whitfield want nothing to do with it, and the same for the HOA. This is now a matter for the owner (who is in China as does not respond!), the SAPS (why are we paying for TRSS?) and the CSOS (which means that even if I am successful I will be charged. So in the end nobody gets a satisfactory result except Whitfields who sure knows how to collect levies. And the drama will continue! If you are considering changing to Whitfield Property Agents, rather change to MAINSTAY!

Martin, your review pointing fingers at Whitfields is unfortunate in that the Managing Agent does not run the day to day affairs of a HOA, such as enforcement of  rules and has no legislative powers to do so. The MA role in Plantation De Club is purely administrative in nature, providing defined services in terms of service level agreement. Equally a security company such as TRSS act within the confines of their SLA and the laws of the country. The elected directors of your estate are responsible for running the estate, for enforcing the rules in your estate, and for providing the security company and where necessary the MA, specific directives to perform duties as laid out in the signed SLA  which directives must be within the confines of the law. The actions to date of ourselves, TRSS or the directors may not satisfy you in finding resolution to the issues you are experiencing with your neighbour, but it is ultimately the owner of the neighbouring unit who must, through their leasing agent, resolve the issues in terms of ensuring that their tenant complies with the rules of the estate, and abides by the terms of the lease agreement to do so. I'm not sure what more you expect a Managing Agent to do.
