Incorrect billing
The Whitfield body corporate has made my life a living hell and I have not been able to enjoy my home because of them. I received my first invoice on the 18th of January 2016 after occupying the property on the 1st of December, this is after numerous attempts to get Whitfields to issue an account statement. As per the invoice, the electricity is billed a month in arrears and the levies are billed from the 15 to the 15th of the month. I made the first payment on the 29th of Jan and a few payments thereafter. The account was then handed over to the legal department in less than 90 days in arrears, which led to an increase to the legal, arrear liability and interest costs.
It has come to my attention that I have been billed for electricity consumption while I am buying prepaid electricity. I would like for my bill to be reviewed as I refuse to pay for the service that I did not use. Please note that all these discrepancies on my account have affected the interest charged on the outstanding amount which has led to an increase on my debt.
I have also noticed that I am being double billed on the legal charges as they've used the same reference numbers for different months
