Whites pages (Telkom) harassing companies and demanding payment - Big ******** and don't give in

It has been a while since being last harassed by Whitepages consultants, but now recently its becoming of out of hand. I have reported this matter in many ways possible.

In the beginning of the year, late beginning, we got a call from a gentleman from whitepages, and stated that our directory be updates. I had to fill in documents, and all this at no cost. (dont forget the small print) but its free they say.

Forms were sent and filled. Later stage, a month later, we got an invoice with a hefty amount to pay, after the constant stated its free, so this is confusing and have no leg to stand on because its he said she said story. We requested that the forms be candled, but the accounts lady stated it is not possible, and if so, half of that hefty amount be paid at least – same breath, it cannot be paid, and my argument is the consultant stated its free. Its false advertising and false pretenses. No manager has even sorted this matter out either. Do not think their is any, unless he is part of the ****s.

We kept being harassed by more consultants for payments, and then it was quiet for a while. And not so long ago, received e-mails again, stating to update the directory, for free, in the e-mail it states for free, and in response we are not interested, and please to leave us alone, this company already has a directory for its specific retail use. A lot of lawyers and other people stated this is a **** to get companies in to pay, and thereafter are ****med and forced to pay, and some pay because the harassment becomes too much.

This matter was reported, and now again, have a lady from Debt Rescue on behalf of Telkom whitepages, every second day, stating she has sent emails, and have not received them, and asking questions. Debt rescue confirmed they do not allow this type of service, they are debt counselors, not collectors and won’t have that type of people working for them. They are also now aware of their names being abused in this matter and will not tolerate it. So again, consultants ******** their way in using other companies’ names.
