WHITE PAGES ONLINE (PTY) LTD ****

During July, we got a call from a lady call Princess from White Pages Online and stated that our directory be updated, we were extremely busy at the time and did not pay attention to the matter. She phoned incessantly but we did have time for these sort of calls and ignored them.

Finally we took the call and said they could send the form to us to update the details - all at no costs according to them telepathically. (Having Telkom's White Pages in mind - AND their e-mail address is *** ) Forms were sent and filled in. Last week we got a call from a Simon who demanded payment. We never got an invoice as they had an incorrect e-mail address. They then sent through the invoice to the correct address - A whopping R9540.00, after the consultant stated its free, but according to accounts that piece of paper is a 'contract' where in the SMALLEST of small print it states you are liable to pay the amount of R9540.00, so this is confusing and have no leg to stand on because its he said she said story. There are also contradictions in the small print with regards to cancellation. I requested they send me Company Registration Documents and proof of bank details & VAT doc's. They refused to send through the documentation and only sent a bank letter, confirming banking details. The small print states that they are not registered for VAT.

The Company Logo on this invoice is extremely suspect - not very clear, neither does the invoice display any Directors names or Company Registration Number. No manager is available to speak with, only an accounts lady demanding money be paid over immediately. Simon kept on phoning for payment and I kept on insisting on having proof of Company Registration. He then proceeded to tell me that this conversation is going nowhere and that they are going to hand us over and put the phone down on me.

All of this is ******* according to the Consumer Protection Act as the information if false and misleading. I have read similar reviews - one of which an hour ago.
