****, Don't pay them ANYTHING-Report them to SAFPS

Not a real company to start off with. White Pages.co.za is a devision of Telkom and Yellow Pages, Now Yep eBooks. They pretend to be like the legit White Pages and want you to update your online details, this then has very small print at the bottom that states you've signed up for an online advertising campaign. If you don't pay them then, they harass you with calls and then revert over to **** legal calls, and black-listings by big legal firms that are also ****, they take a legal company and alter the email address slightly, but use the names of real attorneys at that firm to make it seem more legit. They even have a **** DOJ Government page to scare you even further. What ever you do DO NOT PAY THEM, They cannot blacklist you legit as they don't even have a company reg. If you want to do something about it report them to SAFPS. This is Telkoms response,

Kindly see below correspondence from Telkom regarding such cases received in the past pertaining White Pages:

“there is really nothing we can do about it. It is a legitimate company and the customers who get ****med, do not read the fine print of the contract where it is stipulated that they ARE NOT affiliated to Telkom. The **** is in the initial call to the customer before the contract is sent. In that call the customers say that White Pages make out as if they are representing Telkom but there is no proof because the call is made personally. By the time the customers get the contract they are already convinced that they are dealing with Telkom and do not read the contract.

We have already tried to take them to court but lost because we could not prove that they tell the customers they are affiliated to Telkom when their contract states clearly they are not.”
