Whirlpool washing machine - do not buy!

I concur with all previous customers that no-one should ever consider buying a Whirlpool. Bought Whirlpool washing machine in May 2017, 10 days ago it started making funny noises. Whirlpool technician came out, charged us close to R600 and then told us it is not worth fixing as it would cost almost the same as a new machine. When corresponding with Whirlpool (KIC) via email the customer services department failed to provide an explanation or remedy - they merely confirmed the technicians prognosis. Previously we owned a Defy which lasted 10 years, then a Samsung which lasted 10 years and now this piece of *******. We will replace it with a Defy or Samsung!
