Whirlpool - Extremely poor customer service

Extremely disappointed in Whirlpool customer care. On 27 December 2021 we logged a call (KJ259690) for an issue we have with our dishwasher (error code E1, F8). After following up on progress, we were informed a quotation for the parts have been submitted to a technician. On the next follow-up, we were asked which parts we needed a quotation on. How was a quote requested and then we were asked which part a quote was needed on? Was the initial request even sent to the technician? Each time we were told Whirlpool would get back to us, and not once was this the case, we constantly had to contact and follow up from our side. Within the instruction manual, it indicates that the error mentioned could possibly be an issue with the pump or a sensor. One would think that if Whirlpool machines give error codes, and the error code was provided to Whirlpool when the call was logged, a technician would show up with the necessary parts to repair the machine. This was however not the case. The technician came out on 30 December 2021, ran a diagnostic, and told me it was the optic sensor (We already knew this from the error codes). This took a total of 5 minutes with a call out fee of R600.00. The technician asked if he could order the part, it would take 3-4 working days, as there were apparently 7 sensors in stock. We agreed, and the waiting game started again. After a week we started following up with the technician, and after multiple attempts to contact him, he indicated he would follow up on the matter. A couple of days passed again without any feedback and we made attempts to contact him yet again. After a harshly worded message, he technician informed us that there is a possible fault on their system, as it appears that there were no sensors in stock, and they have to wait for parts which might take some time. The technician then indicated he will go determine the delay and will provide us with feedback on 12 January 2022. No surprise, there has not been any contact or feedback from the technician. We had a similar situation with an LG washing machine, and the machine was repaired within 72 hours (excellent customer care). Even though Whirlpool makes a good product, the shockingly poor customer service determined that we will most definitely not be buying a Whirlpool dishwasher or appliance again. The efforts to get customer care and service is just not worth it. Can I please have a refund on the unnecessary call-out fee, as there is no indication that the machine will be repaired, and we will order a new LG dishwasher.
