Poor Quality

What is the average lifespan of a chest freezer??I purchased a KIC 301 L fridge about 4-5 years ago, brand new, and its already packed up... this is the second one, same thing happened to the first one, doesn't last more that 3-5yrs...<br> <br> Is it ESKOMs fault for the constant load shedding that leads to these appliances deteriorating!!<br> Why does quality deteriorate with time...?so frustrating
