Beware of Whirlpool South Africa

On 22 November 2016 we have purchased a Whirlpool Industrial Washing Machine via Makro's online service. After a week the washing machine started to make unsual noises and I we immedialy stopped using it. We reported it immediately to Whirlpool. Their technicians came out and told us it is the filter but the machine will only break in 6 months time when making a noise like that so we can carry on washing and they will come to fix it in January. The noise level increased over time and after about a week it skipped the spinning cycle. We reported it again and they came to repair it and confirmed if it breaks again they will replace it. After about 10 days the machine completly stopped working. We reported it once again and asked for a new machine and they said it is the problem of Makro where we bought the machine. We contacted Makro and gave them our reference number WJ138043 and told me they will get back to me. They never did. Since then we contacted Whirlpool Customer Service Centre several times and spoke to Peto and others at ***regarding the problem. Up to date the problem is still not solved and we (Botriver Hotel) is currently outsourcing our laundry at huge expense. The Customer Service Centre at Whirlpool is absolutaly unprofessional we feel its our duty to warn other consumers regarding Whirlpool's pathetic after-sales service.

Management Botrivier Hotel
