15 days to supply an outlet hose

Our machine needs a new outlet hose. Service technician indicates that there is no stock in SA and that we need to wait 15 days (cannot even say if it will be 15 calendar or 15 working days) Is this really such a specialized part? Not sure if I will buy a Whirlpool again
