Wheeltraders in Parow, ************* car sales dealership. Mileage tampering, undisclosed accident damage

I do not recommend this dealership. Here is why. I test drove a 2015 Fiat 500 2.l model at Wheeltraders in Parow. The mileage advertised on cars.co.za was 72****ms and at the dealership it was 73997. They stated (on cars.co.za) that it had not been in any accident. Before deciding to make an offer I spent R2900+ on a Dekra technical inspection. Apart from dents and scratches usual with a 2nd hand car, which I accept, their report revealed: 1. Repaired damage (panelbeating) to the right side door, back and front fenders & bumpers indicating an accident; The left fender tray was still unsecured. 2. A chipped front windscreen and bonnet; 3. Airbag cover warped; 4. A defective and scratched engine sump, and misfiring while idling; 5. Mileage cluster had been tampered with - with an actual mileage of 119 118.85km. 6. The salesperson Mr Wayne Swano disputed the mileage and requested I share the report, which he did not want to pay for. I shared only the page with the diagnostic test's actual mileage, as proof. He took no responsibility for the situation. The diagnostic test picked up on the following: There were problems with the electric power steering and the battery voltage was below minimum threshold; The body computer module was missing message (Park assist module). As none of these faults were pointed out, upfront, I declined to make an offer to purchase. I asked the dealership to pay for the Dekra test, which they would receive in full and they have refused to do so. They had made no effort to explain the true condition of the car. Considering that they **** about the mileage, the accident damage, engine and the other faults they can't be trusted. In this sort of situation, the least they can do is pay for the test which showed up their dishonesty. I don't recommend them at all.
