DO YOUR OWN DELIVERY

Although I've always enjoyed shopping at Weylandts but I was left shocked after visiting the Green Point store this last Friday. We are moving shortly and went in to buy a consol table, and to look for a few other pieces which could work for our new house. When ready to pay(R4995.00) we told it would only be in stock a month later, which was not a problem, then we were told we could not pick it up from the store and had to either go to Epping to collect or pay R1000.00 !!!!delivery fee. Now I understand that no business wants to send a truck over the mountain with a single item, but the Director himself could have popped this into his Range Rover and delivered it personally and it would still not cost or be worth a thousand rand, and why must I have to travel to Epping to collect it? In this difficult time you would think that customer retention and care would be a sound strategy, but it seems Weylandts are happy to make the sale but everything after that is your problem.
