Dirty accommodation, unattentive staff, overall ****ty place! Don't book here

When we got to reception the lady behind the counter was more into her phone and half laying on the desk. When I greeted as I approached the desk she looked very disinterested and tired.The security jumped in and asked me to check in electronically. When we got to our room (804 to be exact), as we locked open, we were greeted by excessive rush of heat, the place felt like an oven, literally. There's one large window only, of which a small side window could open only about 5cm. Bear in mind when it was loadshedding, it was even worse. Going through the place we noticed there was not an iron and ironing board. I sent the owner/manager a WhatsApp, of which I was told the housekeeping staff had left and only available thr next day at 10am. The next day it was almost 11am and I sent another WhatsApp saying I can't wait any longer, we are leaving to go out. Upon our return we found the iron, but no ironing board. We tried using the iron, placing it at all sockets in the place as disappointed once again, the iron didn't even work. When I informed them thereof, all they said as the manager/owner was "noted". Not even an apology, nor rushing to remedy the situation (I still have the WhatsApp messages). We were very upset. Then apart from all this, the place was filthy, dirty and dusty. The curtain had such stains on looked like dried blood or food. The pillows was were so flat, I'd didn't make a difference and we has sore necks. We wanted to make coffee and what they gave us weren't even of any quality. The kettle itself had so much dust on, we could tell it wasn't clean. The bathroom was the biggest area of filth. The walls were dirty, the area below the mirror dusty, the toilet pot looked brownish/yellowish and had a stench of urine that had been in there for ages and never cleaned. The worst of the worst was that there were ****roaches under the kitchen sink and also bathroom. And before I forget, they left us a broken TV remote. The two cups were mismatched in size. The plastic glasses were discoloured and looked yellow and overused.I didn't even bother mentioning this considering the reply I had gotten from the iron. This was thee worst experience for us. Never, never and never again. I feel ****** of such a nice holiday as it was the first time in ages that I went away, o ly to have this experience.
