My Peugeot 3008 had an engine fault light 'ON'. I then took it Westvaal Menlyn for fixing. 1stly: They said it was a fuel sensor (I paid approximately R3000) but the problem was NOT resolved. 2ndly: They said it was a gearbox ECU (I paid R22 000) but the problem was NOT resolved. 3rdly: They said it was an engine ECU (I paid approximately R12 000) and the engine light went off for a few days and came 'ON' again. When I looked at the engine ECU I then realised that my engine ECU was replaced with an old engine ECU. Westvaal Menlyn told me that they outsourced replacement of my engine ECU to PJ Motors in Hercules, Pretoria. I called PJ Motors and they confirmed that the engine ECU they installed into my car was an old one, the information that Westvaal Menlyn did not tell.

All in all I paid approx R37000 nothing.

I then requested refund from the Dealer Principal (a certain Mr Mokoena), and he said he'll escalate it to his Principals. He later told me they declined my request. I again sent him an email notifying him that my vehicle still having the same problem, unfortunately he hasn't responded to my email even up to now. As we speak, I am stuck with an unfixed vehicle after parting ways with R37 000.
