Major Mahindra Issue

We bought a brand new Mahindra XUV300 March 2020. Early 2023 when the vehicle only had 30 000km on the clock there was a major gearbox issue, I was surprised at how many of the same brand was at the repairs department, one vehicle with km's as low as 12 000. We were without our vehicle for almost 7 weeks. We took the car for the services as one should and it is well maintained and looked after. Fast forward to January 2025, nou standing on +-70 000km, the car left us along the road on 7 January 2025. It was taken with a flatbed to Mahindra Westrand. Just to be told that they don't do warranty work anymore, only cash work. The vehicle was then taken to CMH Clearwater who is now contacted out to Mahindra Westrand to do the warranty work. The car has been there for 3 weeks and counting, all they could have established till now was that the turbo has gone. They are still trying to establish what else is wrong as the car is not starting at all. The fuel injectors have been sent to an independent company to be tested as well as a sample of the diesel. The communication that I have received is that CMH is in contact with Mahindra to eliminate what else could be wrong as they don't have enough knowledge with the Mahindra brand. Now I ask you why a brand would use a company to do warranty work that does not have enough knowledge of the brand that they are working on. It took me more than two weeks to get a courtesy car from them as I feel why should we be stuck without a vehicle if our car is still under warranty. I honestly feel that we bought a dud. We are going to be paying for a car that would be giving us trouble for as long as we own it. And these aren't small little things that can be sorted quickly, its major expensive issues. I have tried contacting Mahindra SA, they don't even answer their calls. Someone phoned me after I obtained a number that I could WhatsApp on. He advised that I contact the dealer that we bought the vehicle from. After a heated discussion and not being able to get a word in. I dropped the call. I have now gone the Ombudsman route as I feel that consumers are being taken for a ride. The service stops as soon as the sale is made. I will not stop until we get a new replacement vehicle to replace the obvious dud we bought.
