DO NOT TRUST WESTRAND LOCKSMITHS - JUSTINE & CHARMAINE

It's a pity I only get to choose one option for the nature of this review as they are guilty of so much more than just a bad attitude.

I had a front door handle that had stopped working. So I called Westrand Locksmiths to come out and give a quote and advise on how to repair.

I was unable to meet them at my house but my domestic worker was there to let them in.

Forty five minutes later they message me to say they're done. No quote, no advice. They simply went ahead and destroyed all access to my house without my consent.

Because they couldn't access the other side of the front door through the external security gate - which was locked, and which my domestic did not have keys to - they decided to hack it down and replace the lock. They did this without consulting me. Then had they audacity to charge me for essentially breaking and entering into my house.

They also "repaired" the front door handle by simply removing the innards of the locking mechanism and replacing the lock. Leaving the door handle hanging flaccidly. Anyone proud of their home would not be happy with this. How they claimed their work was excellent and "everything looked great" is beyond me.

When confronted about this they promptly blocked me on whatsapp and refused to take our calls. They refused to leave our property until they were paid.

Upon my arrival home I found a padlock that had been sheered with bolt-cutters lying on the table at the entrance to my house. An obvious threat.

The very next day, the lock they installed in my security gate ceased. Keep in mind there was nothing wrong with my security gate before they arrived. A week later and the lock they installed in the door handle has now also ceased.

So not only are they guilty of doing work without consent, hacking down my front gate for no reason and replacing locks without my consent, but their workmanship is deplorable.

I have tried to communicate with them to return and fix their shoddy work only to be blocked and ignored.

My advice to anyone stumbling across this review is to proceed with caution - if at all - when dealing with these women. They are *************, childish and their workmanship is embarrassing.
