AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS

I hope this review can help anyone else not to make the same mistake as I did to trust Wikus from Westgate Auto. In February 2018 I bought a Golf GTI from him where I have had problems with the car from the first day I took delivery of the vehicle. My car have been standing in a mechanics workshop more than what I have actually driven it. After numerous times of taking the car back to Wikus for repairs/diagnostics he simply denied all allegations of selling me a broken car and said that he will no longer help with the necessary repairs. He offered me R5000 to replace a faulty ''turbo'' which turns out was not the problem at all. After I took the car to a reputable mechanic I was told that the pistons melted which have resulted in me having to spend close to R30 000 just to get the car in a running condition again. No wonder he offered the 5k to get me off his back for the moment. I will be reporting Wikus to the ombudsman as this garage needs to be closed down for selling such faulty cars!! Do not under any circumstances trust anything they try to sell you!
