Unreliable and dishonest

We first used Western Electrical and Plumbing in 2021 when we needed our DB board replaced. Willem De Beer was here in no time to inspect, install and complete the job. We were so impressed by him, we opted to use him again last month when we needed CoC's for electrical and plumbing

Again, quick to come out, inspect and quote, that's about as far as it went. Willem tells you every day that he will call you soon/come tomorrow, but tomorrow never seems to come. We were first told the supplier does not have the materials ready, other times we were told that work is incredibly busy, but he is guaranteed to come tomorrow. He never shows up or responds to messages. He has since gone quiet.

We, therefore, got another company to do the job. Upon inspection, the new company noted that the DB was not installed correctly and that incorrect size wires and materials were used, therefore classifying it as an 'unsafe installation' . Their inspection also took over an hour, whereas Willems inspection took 20 minutes, which leads us to believe it wasnt very thorough or accurate.

Not only did this man waste two weeks of our time with his empty promises and lies, he also did not complete the job correctly.

We suspect he did not show up to complete the job due to this being a CoC request, therefore payment was not going to be done until after the transfer of the house was successful. Thank goodness we did not pay him anything.

Please do not use this company for anything, we have no idea how he is still operating after all these years, with many similar negative reviews.
