Patethic Service Delivery: WCG

I reported two traffic lights that are down on the N2 in the Helderberg area on 24 March 2023. T--junctions N2/Mondeor and N2/Onverwacht Roads. As one can imagine, very heavy traffic is involved at both these locations.

Due to the fact that the area falls under the jurisdiction of the Western Cape Provincial Government, the City of Cape Town escalated the matters to the WCPC.

After various correspondence, the traffic lights are still out of order. Two emails on the 18th and 26th of April 2023 to the office of the Premier, were not even responded to.

We see and hear on the news that the leaders in the Western Cape are busy with plans in order to reduce load shedding. I can only wonder how this is going to be done when two traffic lights at absolute strategic places cannot be repaired within more than six weeks.

One also could only imagine whether this patethic service would be existed if it was voting time.
