Pathetic, careless, ********ly *********** - AVOID

As one of only 7 Aluminium-approved repairers in Gauteng, my insurance had my vehicle repaired at West Rand Panelbeaters in February 2023.

Subsequent mechanical work, where we have had to disassemble the car's bumpers etc laid bare the disaster created by West Rand Panel Beaters.

Every single aspect of this repair was a complete travesty - I would not trust this company to work on a 20-year-old abused family hatchback after seeing how they absolutely butchered my R3m exotic car. Shocking, careless, and *********** does not begin to describe the end-result.

1. Worst paint job I have ever seen - they did not even flat after spraying! Orange-peel does not begin to describe the finish. Uneven paint thickness (as measured with paint thickness gauge). 2. Poorly repaired dents (still visible) instead of replacing an aluminium panel. 3. Every last part that they disassembled was either broken or damaged, or incorrectly assembled. They broke off brackets, clips, support in everything from rear taillights to front bumper air intakes, and tried to "hide" it by simply using double-sided tape. 4. So many missing, incorrect, or substituted bolts and *****s when assembling. 5. Propping open of my passenger side door with a stick or a piece of wood pressing directly into, and eventually through, the leather causing permanent damage. 6. Incorrectly following customer instructions such as painting parts that were supposed to be left unpainted (plastic air intakes on front bumper etc). 7. Vinyl Protective Coating not replaced after removing the existing coating to paint the car.

I can go on an on. These guys are absolutely incapable of working on high-end cars, and produced an end-result that even a one-man backyard panelbeater would be absolutely embarrassed by.

If you in any way value your car, do not let this *********** and careless shop touch it. I have had to spend over R50k to address the cosmetic and breakage issues *introduced* by West Rand Panel Beaters.
