2 Months waiting for car repair

Car was in accident with hail storm. With insurance inspection - the car was send to Westrand Panel Beaters. They ordered spares and said we can bring the car in as soon as the parts arrived. Nobody phoned to say if the parts were there and I phoned just before they closed in December 2015. He said that we can bring the car in - the parts are there but was too busy with other cars that they couldn't phone us to bring in the car. We left the car there, rent a car in mean time that cost a lot of money till mid of January. They did not phone us in January, we phoned lot of times and when car was supposed to be ready - they did not check the under the car till then and then only saw that there was damage under the car and had to order parts again? Why did they not checked it with insurance to see where all the problems were? So now it is already 5 Feb 2016 and still waiting for the car. Every time we phone - they still waiting for parts. We tried to inform the General Auto Insurance to help - but now satisfaction - they not even bothered to phone back to say what happening or tried to help. Now we sit without a car ????
