False Accusations

The management at Westpack next to Lifestyle is ill-mannered, impolite, disrespectful, lazy and extremely rude towards clients.

I used to be an almost weekly visitor to this store, up until this morning! As per usual I was checking the products I was buying to see if any parts were broken or missing (because unfortunately I have bought products there before and when I got home pieces were missing, the product was broken or things were completely torn off of it). At this point, a guy from the store approached me (the floor manager I think) and started accusing me of tearing and damaging the packaging and also of steeling pieces from the products!!! To say I was stunned, would be an understatement!

I have never in my life been so embarrassed or treated this way as a client to any shop which I used to support (never mind as a person) and I was in such a state of shock that I couldn't even think straight at that moment!

When Westpack head office was phoned to straighten this out, they admitted to watching the footage of what had happened and they themselves said that they could see me simply checking the products and packing the ones that was broken or with missing pieces aside.

Hello Lientjie1985,

Hello mrx,

Good day Corleen,
As per telephone conversation
We try our best to settle matters away from social media.

I thank you so much for accepting my call, I work directly for Head Office, I have been with this company for 8 years and you can rely on me to correct this matter as far as I can.
I went to the Randburg store this morning after seeing your post on Facebook, I had a meeting with Manny, Eddie and Tia regarding this matter.

I have spoken to them that matters such as these should only be handled by Head Office and not on store level.
I do understand your frustration and understand that pins could have been missing from the supplier themselves.
To rectify this matter I have emailed the supplier directly, to ensure that there are pins in the particular product that is at mention.
I have also sent an email to all stores to ensure that all packaging and pins are correct at time of packaging.
Should any human errors still occur after this, could I ask you kindly to head to our Info counter and request the missing pins, as we keep extra stock in the storeroom and it will be quicker in that regard.

Warmest Regards
The West Pack Family
