Our December holiday - ****** by false advertising

I booked accommodation at this hotel in langebaan for December 2018 via hotels.com and this is the email I sent the so called CEO, which to date have had no reply whatsoever!

"Afternoon Anneke,

I would like to point out a few things with regards to our accommodation at the building 31, art studio (Very modern and neat) from 1st to 4th January 2018.

Firstly, I was never advised once when I enquired on booking this bed and breakfast that I would be in another building, out of the ocean view completely. It does not stipulate this on booking.com, TripAdvisor, hotels.com! It shows a beautiful view of the ocean in every single picture and not once does it stipulate another building behind the sea facing building. The price of these apartments are R989 pp. We paid R1770 per night which is the same price advertised on these booking websites! This is false advertising!

Secondly, it does however state on these booking sites that there is a king size bed, a safe, bar/lounge, free parking and breakfast.

When we arrived, we were shown how pretty the place is, told we could park anywhere around the area, that we must not park in front of the garage as it has a company car that is used to purchase groceries for the lodges.

We only noticed that we had a double bed with 2 headboards together to perhaps predict King size, after we were getting ready to climb into bed. I have attached pictures. Again, this is false advertising and we paid for these items and did not receive them!

This bed is also broken!! The top of the bed that is against the headboard slumps down and our pillows kept getting jammed between the mattress and the headboard.

There is no safe in this room either! There is no bar/lounge at the main building or anywhere else for that matter! This again is false advertising and weve paid for these items that we did not receive!

And last but not least, your housekeeper left the dustbin on the kitchen counter, lid off with no bag in it and our milk was not replaced in the refrigerator.

This, sadly leaves me with a very bad taste in my mouth as R1770 per night is not cheap and I truly hope you take these issues seriously because as stipulated in the website, you are the CEO!

Why do we have to tolerate such incompetence as well as ******* of our holiday! We paid and we expected to get what we paid for, is that so difficult? I would like half my money back due to the false advertising as it is the right thing to do!

I'm so disgusted and angry!
