Unacceptable payment delays and lack of communication from WesBank RT46

We are an automotive workshop that carries out vehicle repairs and maintenance for government fleet vehicles. We have been dealing with WesBank RT46, which is responsible for government agencies’ fleet payments.

Our experience has been extremely disappointing.

We completed repair and maintenance work on vehicles as requested and received the necessary go-ahead and approvals to proceed. We then purchased parts, paid labour costs, and invested our time and resources to complete the work. The jobs were completed, and the required invoices were submitted and approved.

However, despite the work being completed and the invoices being submitted, we have still not received payment. We are now approximately four months past the expected turnaround time.

What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication. We have tried contacting WesBank RT46 by phone and email on numerous occasions, but our calls are not being answered and our emails are not receiving responses.

As an automotive workshop, these delays have a serious impact on our cash flow. We have already paid for parts and labour to complete the vehicles, yet we are left carrying the financial burden while waiting for payment on work that has already been completed and approved.

We understand that administrative delays can happen, but four months without payment or meaningful communication is unacceptable.

We would appreciate a clear explanation of what is causing the delay, confirmation of when the outstanding invoices will be paid, and proper communication with service providers who have already completed the work.

WesBank RT46 needs to take responsibility for resolving outstanding payments and improving communication with workshops and suppliers.
