**** ARISTS
I am ashamed to say that today I was ****med by this company. Needed a child's passport urgently and approached Edwin at the Parkmore office to apply for this passport for me. Had to pay R1200 upfront (should have smelt a rat then, as we received no receipt for this). On Wed. 25/7/18 he telephoned me to say that passport was ready and I should meet him at Home Affairs in Randburg at 7h50 o Fri. 27/7/18. Then on Thurs. evening he telphones me again and says that I must not forget the appointment on Friday and also to bring the child and the father with to Home Affairs. I quickly arranged all this and set off early on Fri. morning and reached Home Affairs by 7h45. Not knowing whom I was looking for, I telephoned Edwin, but his phone remained on voice mail. I tried x5 and same result. At last I got hold of him on the phone and asked where he was. He then tells me that I had missed my place in the queue and that he had already gone back to his office. He then tells me I will have to come back on Monday, to which I rep**** that I will not be coming back on Monday and that he needed to come straight back and sort this all out. In the meantime I had spoken to an employee of Home Affairs and was told by her that these people from Q4U are ************ and she went inside and asked for someone to look on the computer whether an application had been made for my granddaughter. The answer was definitely not. Edwin then turns up, hands me all the application forms and copies which I handed to him and tells me to follow him inside and to stand in some queue there. He then just vanished into thin air and that was the last I saw of him. I was also told that these people are not even allowed into Home Affairs because of their ****s. Lesson learnt. Do the application yourself and save yourself lots of time, money and stress. My husband phoned Edwin this afternoon and told him to meet him at the Sandton Police Station, which he did do and came with a lot of stories and excuses, but my husband told him that he was not interested. All he wanted was the R1200. Of course Edwin had a lot to say about why he could not pay him all the money back and when he tried to bargain again, my husband just told him that he was laying a charge against him. These guys are ruthless and brazen and I plead with all who need passports, to please not use these outsiders (************).
