think twice before you attend any event hosted by @wenotreallystrangerz

let me tell you about my experience at an event hosted by @wenotreallystrangerz yesterday, because, honestly, i hope it deters you from potentially putting yourself in danger.

i can almost overlook the long wait we endured before the start of event, but in hindsight, that was the least of our worries. according to the event’s schedule, pickup from Walmer was supposed to be between 13:00 and 15:00. not only did they fail to pick us up on time, but the actual event didn’t even start until 6 pm. at one point, we were left stranded for over an hour with no communication and no event organizers in sight.

but here’s where things get really concerning.. we had to walk 8km to the so-called “secret location”, only to arrive and find them still scrambling to set up the sound system. after yet another long wait, music finally started playing.

now, remember that 8km walk? well, we had to do it again, and this time, in the dark, after people had been drinking, some heavily intoxicated. and what did the event organizers do? nothing — no transportation was arranged. we started panicking when we realized we were stranded, not knowing how we’ll get home. meanwhile, the organizers? they drove off right in front of us honey, with absolutely no care in the world. why would they? they had made their money and captured just enough content to fool others into thinking it was a great time.

i don’t care if you’re new to event planning, people’s safety is NOT something to gamble with. if my friend hadn’t managed to contact someone kind enough to rescue us, i don’t even want to think about how the night could’ve ended.

we still left some people stranded there, with no way to get home. people were crying. we could only help a few to leave with us. that time, the event organizers were long gone. they have deleted our comments on socials and removed posts which announcing yesterday’s event.
