I went on Price Check looking for the most affordable price for MNI Antagolin 60's tablets for insulin resistance. The usual price is approximately R279.99 at other stores or even more.

When searching on Price Check, in this instance it returned only 1 supplier, which was Wellness Warehouse. It was a price I was VERY interested in - R199,95 vs the usual R249.99 and I FULLY intended on taking advantage of it – possibly buying 3 because the deal was that good. However, when I clicked on VIEW OFFERS, which redirected me to their website, lo and behold, I find a price of R249.99.

When I called the website number to query this, I spoke to a lady I shall not name and who said one of their developers probably made a mistake. She then requested screenshots, which I mailed through to her email address, dated 14 January 2020 12:17 PM. Within 7 minutes she rep**** and said she’d consult with her manager AS SOON as the said manager stepped into the office. No further response was sent to me, including a follow up mail I sent on Tue 21-Jan-20 9:05 AM. It is Tue 25-Feb-20, 16:55 as I post this and I have yet to see any correspondence from this supplier. To add salt to the wounds, I checked out Price check again today and whaddaya know? - same price discrepancy, different amounts – R189.95 on Price Check vs R249.95 on Wellness Warehouse’s website. For comparison and interest’s sake: Pricing on the Dischem website for this same product is R274.95 as at Tue 21-Jan-20 17:36 PM. What is Wellness Warehouse doing? Is this some kind of venus fly trap, hoping that you’ll buy from them because you don’t want to spend more time trawling the internet looking for more competitive prices?

So, in summary, not only did I implement due diligence by contacting them by telephonically, I also sent proof of the disparity in the form of screenshots. I then rep**** to this lady’s mail and never heard anything further, even after sending a follow up email. I’m thoroughly disgusted by their lack of professionalism and dare I say, incompetence?
