Business Misconduct

I called Wellies Refrigeration because the fridge part of my refrigerator was not cooling, thinking that I needed to have my refrigerator re-gased. I spoke to a person who said they charge a call out fee of R150 and will do it on my premises. They arrived for the booked appointment (which was made via sms) checked my fridge out and said the system needs to be unblocked, they have to replace a filter, re-gas it, clean the condenser and restart the thermostat and that it would cost R1250. In desperation I said yes. Just before they left, they told me to let the fridge defrost and switch it on in the evening. They then insisted that I pay them then and there via e-wallet. Later that evening after switching it on as per their instruction I checked to see if the fridge was working according to their instructions only to realise that it still was not getting cooler. I then smsed and whatsapped them telling them that the fridge was still not functioning properly and asking if they could come around the next morning to sort the problem out. The following day which was a Thursday, I again whatsapped them and smsed them without receipt or acknowledgement of either. I called their number which went straight to voicemail. I continued trying to get hold of them throughout the day resorting to eventually getting a friend to call from his number. They answered his call and when he mentioned my name they rep**** saying they were very busy and would definitely call me. Eventually I gave up only to receive an sms from them at 15.47 saying please could we make an appointment for 10am on Friday. I said thank you that would be great. Friday 10am came along and still no sign of them. I called them and smsed them, by this time they had blocked my number on whatsapp. To date I still have not heard from them and had to resort to youtube to solve the fridge problem which I have since worked out was a build up of ice in the down pipe. Defrosting was all that was needed. I would not recommend this company to anyone and feel as if I have been ****med and taken for a ride.
