You don't GETWORTH

"highest offer will be yours to decide on", this is what is listed on their website but not my experience. The guy calls me and says what price would I like I tell him around trade R180k, bearing in mind the mileage and condition of the car. Transunion's dealer guide gave me value of R178k, which I think its fair. But I would be willing to consider offer close to trade. This guy tells me a story about how the market is slow, blah, blah, blah the typical dealer salesman speech when they are about to lowball you. He then says dealers would look at a range of R110k to R120k would I be willing to sell around that price. My immediate response is no, but I would like to continue with the bidding process since they allege to have "hundreds" of approved buyers who are ready to purchase the car. He then says no if im not willing to sell around that price then there is no point in putting it to bid. I thought that the process of offering a price or bid would be determined by the "hundreds" of bidders to determine the highest offer and not by them. Clearly not the case in my experience. GETWORTH has offered me a cash only offer of R171,275 and around R186k through thier GETMORE product, I actually sent him the screenshot of their offer. So out of the hundreds and hundreds of weelee's dealers none can even come remotely close to the cash figure??? Not even one? Don't get me wrong, im very happy with the GETWORTH offer, just feel like there is something fishy with how this guy handled everything, it didnt even follow the process they outlined on their website. Beware people, there are many resources available on the internet to make sure you are getting right amount for your car. Don't be ********.
