The worst purchasing experience I have ever had. Please stay away.
I bought a Jeep Wrangler 2.8CRD from Weelee in mid-August. The entire experience has been very poor and more than disappointing. If you're considering buying a vehicle from them, especially a "speciality" or luxury vehicle, please consider alternatives for your own sanity.
Here is a summary of my experience: - Discussed vehicle details and planned a viewing/collection on Friday the 9th of August with the sales rep, Morne. I was coming in from out of town and planning on driving the vehicle back home. We organised this viewing/collection date a week in advance. - I flew in as planned and landed in Johannesburg in the morning of the 9th of August. As I arrived at Weelee Midstream, I was met by Morne and his manager who mentioned that they noticed an issue with the steering that morning. They identified it as the drag linkage that needed to be replaced. Due to it being a public holiday, it would not be possible to get the repair work done that day so I'd have to wait until the following day. They gave me a rental car and I paid for an Airbnb for the night. - Before leaving the warehouse, I viewed the Jeep. I was excited to see a few upgraded parts that are a must for a Jeep - one of them being a FOX steering stabiliser shock (worth around R7000.00). - The next day, I waited until 3:00pm for the car to be delivered to me. At least 3 hours after the original estimate. But with 1500 kms to drive home, I was just ready to get on the road. - Within 100kms from Johannesburg, I noticed that the alignment was off and the steering still felt very loose. Input on the steering took a long time to reach the wheels and the car pulled left. When I arrived at home, I inspected the steering components and saw that the upgrade FOX shock absorber mentioned above had been removed and replaced with a clearly used, worn down Jeep shock without my knowledge. Affectively *****ing a R7000.00 part off of my car. - When raising this with the sales rep, Morne, I was directed to the after sales support team. The communication from this team has been the worst aspect of an overall terrible experience. I have spent almost 3 months going back and forth with the support rep, Alexis, on where the original part is and if Weelee will refund me for buying a replacement. After a 1.5 months of them trying to find the original upgraded part, Alexis gave me the go ahead to purchase a replacement and have it fitted. Bearing in mind the vehicle was not usable until this was fixed. Since purchasing the replacement and having it fitted, I was asked to submit a refund request form and then all communication from Weelee stopped. So now, they have ****** a R7000.00 part and cost me R3000.00 to purchase a cheaper replacement, with the promise of a refund that they refuse to pay.
Finally, the drag linkage that Weelee replaced, which delayed my trip back home in the first place broke whilst my wife was driving down a steep hill this morning (14th of October). This made the car impossible to steer and put her life in serious danger. So not only have they cost me money, but they have also put me and my family in danger with their poor service and workmanship. My next step will be reporting Weelee to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa.
I urge you to ignore their marketing and understand that this company has some deeply floored operations that will cost you money and put you in danger. They do not care about you as a customer at all.

I have now sunk R10,000.00 into this vehicle to repair all of the poor workmanship from your workshop.
