Extremely poor "After Service" from Weelee Centurion
On Saturday, 16 November 2024 my children collected the vehicle they purchased from Weelee, Centurion, with a bow on the engine cap, great happiness and excitement. The car did not start - no problem, battery was tested and replaced. At last, just before closing time, they were on their way home. Good price, taking in consideration that the insurance payment was enough (after an accident, luckily no injuries) to buy the Honda CRV which was according the salesperson in an immaculate condition. Disappointment - on Sunday, 17 November 2024, the engine light comes on! Monday the Honda was returned and son was given a Hyundai i10 to be used while the tests on the Honda were done. The following day, my son was informed that the alternator was faulty. An additional amount must be paid for a reconditioned alternator (Approximately R5000.00) It was brought to the salesperson's attention that the fault existed when the vehicle was collected and that he should not be liable for the cost of the repairs - complaint was forwarded to "After Sales" - Do they really exist at Weelee? From the following experience we have our doubts on the efficiency of the "After Sales" Department. Promises were made that my son will be contacted on the decision whether the alternator will be replaced by Weelee or if my son will be liable for the repairs. It was suggested that my son rather agree by having it done, as it was most likely that the "After Sales" will not agree to have it being repaired at the costs of Weelee. The frustration started!!!! Numerous calls to follow-up on the outcome from "After Sales". Whats App messages were sent. Calls were not anwered, messages were ignored. My son went to Weelee on Saturday, 23 November 2023 to obtain information on the complaint and why no feedback was given. Another promise was made - by Monday, 25 November 2024 he should have an answer. Monday came - once again phone calls were not answered, but at least a Whats App message was received - the "After Sales" Manager has not attended to the matter, but he should "sign" by "Close of Business". My son does still not know what will be "signed" by the Manager... will the claim be denied or will the repairs be done by Weelee? Oh yes, something else, an additional payment to confirm the EFT payment amounting to R7 000.00 was made and was suppose to be refunded once the full payment reflected in Weelee's bank account. Needless to say, no answer to phone calls, numerous Whats App messages and NO Refund yet. Follow-ups made with reference to the Registration of the Honda were also not answered - neither phone calls or Whats App messages. After reading numerous complaints and reviews on Hello Peter and despite positive reviews, we are concerned. Concerned if this matter will be resolved before the end of 2024, since others were complaining that after months they are still waiting for feedback and others decided to just leave the complaint and accept their losses. I am disappointed in Weelee, who receives a rating of 4.7 from Hello Peter. How did they get such a high ranking? I am wondering if we have to obtain the advise and expertise of an attorney to have the matter resolved? And at our costs.... and will it be worthwhile? If a service provider deserve a good rating - yes, they will receive it, but at this stage, I am a very concerned mother ! But I still hope that the disappointment will change into an appraisal for Weelee Centurion, that I will gladly give, if deserved. Let us see what is happening by tomorrow...
