Exercise extreme caution when dealing with Weelee, they’ll take you for a ride

I viewed and eventually bought a 2006 Isuzu KB350 double cab from Weelee in April 2024. When I viewed the bakkie had a tonneau cover placed in the load bin unfitted as well as it's supporting steel rod. The transaction took some days as there were negotiations in the price mostly because of the badly worn-out tyres. We agreed on a price that I eventually paid. After the payment was confirmed, we then arranged for a collection date with Kevin(salesperson). I showed up for collection, we then signed some paperwork and then moved to the collection bay where the bakkie was wrapped. I was presented with keys, and it was then unwrapped for presentation. I immediately noticed the missing tonneau cover and raised it with Kevin. He informed that it must be at the washing bay, and he left to go check. He couldn't find it there and then said he's going to engage a team that monitors CCTV footages to see if they can see what happened to it. He came back and indicated that it's taking long to go through the footage, and there was another salesperson who was waiting to also use the collection bay. He then suggested I should go; I will be contacted once the cover is located. I followed multi times and was told it was thrown away because it was torn. That information was never disclosed to me at the time of viewing. He said they will retrieve it. I followed up again and was told they could not retrieve it; another one will be organised for me. I have been following up every 2 to 3 weeks since then, and it still has not arrived. I have a record of all the promises that have been made, and lately when I follow up, I encounter ignorance. I have logged a formal complaint via *** and it was also ignored. When I enquired about my complaint, I was given email addresses of people to contact (***,***, ***). I contacted them and none of them have responded to my emails.

Reviewer Update
Good day. When Kevin spoke to me, it was to promise me that they will provide a replacement tonneau cover. It's been 3 months now and it still has not been supp**** to me. I have a record of those promises and will be exploring further options. The empty promises and lying seems to be continuing.
