DONT buy from Weelee

I bought a car from Weelee and took possession on 22 August. Within the first month after purchasing this vehicle from Weelee, I encountered significant mechanical problems that resulted in the car being towed away on 15 September. When I sought assistance, I learned that the specific mechanical issues were not covered by the warranty sold to me by Weelee at the time of sale. Upon raising these concerns, and seeking assistance from them, I was referred to the after-sales department and then to a case manager. Despite my efforts, the case manager informed me that no help could be provided. During this period, I undertook routine maintenance on the vehicle, including replacing the battery and conducting a service, fully aware that these costs were my responsibility. However, the additional repairs required for the mechanical problems amounted to R11,000. This situation left us without a vehicle for an entire month, even though we had invested in a car that was (in my opinion) quite expensive. Based on my experience, I believe that Weelee does not offer effective after-sales support or assistance with issues once you drive off the lot. From my perspective, there was a lack of concern for the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and no demonstration of good faith. The CPA grants buyers of second-hand vehicles rights for a reasonable time. Despite being without a vehicle for a month while the repair shop attempted to diagnose the problem, Weelee was unwilling to help.
