Do proper background checks and take a mechanic!

My experience with this place was beginning of 2024 but definitely will never return. I came across a vehicle and placed a holding deposit of R5000 after test driving the vehicle everything was fine. However, on my second visit I decided to do another test drive and to my surprise I discovered unusual sounds in the engine compartment. It occurred to me that the vehicle was a bargain at that time but actually was a defect. I then took the vin number to do a trace on the vehicle's history and discovered the vehicle underwent major repair work. I requested the Derka report and even contacted Derka to enquire about the vehicle's inspection. They indicated that the Derka report was a basic inspection report, not full mechanical inspection report. After this I was skeptical to continue with the sale and immediately requested a refund of my deposit. The salesperson Johnathon then started avoiding my calls and I was faced with the call center staff giving me the run around. I kept persisting and it took me almost three months for my deposit to be returned.
