By far the worst dealer ever

Before my purchase of the White Ford Figo 2018 model, I often read reviews of how horrible, ***********, dishonest Weelee is and I’m not sure why I thought my experience would be different. I have never experienced such incompetence and dishonesty from a car dealer before. I’ve bought all my 4 cars from different workshops and to tell you that Weelee is by far the worst workshop I’ve encountered, will never even sum it. I collected this car on the 6th of August 2024, my partner and I noticed the badly overspray on the car which made us question if the car had been in an accident or not. Two days after collecting the car, we then noticed an immense amount of oil leak from the car. We approached the sales lady by the name of Kimberley who logged a call for us regarding the complaint. I gave it a day or two for someone to contact me regarding the call that was logged, I didn’t receive a response from anyone. I called the call centre, the lady promised to put me through to the client service department where the phone rang for over 15 minutes without any response. My partner decided to take the car to Weelee, still after leaving the car we were passed from one person to the other. Dylan finally handled our case, whom we had to follow up with almost everyday as we weren’t getting any joy from. One the 4th week, I requested to speak to his manager by the name of Jonathan who was quiet rude to be honest. I remember asking why we were being kept in the dark, his response was in the line of “ what do you expect me to say ma’am. I can’t give you feedback when we also haven’t received any” from there that’s when I regretted ever buying a car from Weelee where their manager doesn’t even show any remorse or sympathy towards their clients. I had to beg the manager to provide some sort of feedback at least once a week because this car was not even for leisure. At that point, we had lost approximately 8k which I advised and he didn’t even apologise for it. I told my partner how the call went, he wrote a review on Hello Peter and from there he received a call from Dylan offering a courtesy car. Only after making noise we were then offered a courtesy car, which is a Kwid in a rather horrible condition. We can’t even conduct any business with because of it’s dire condition. My partner kept on asking Dylan for feedback every Monday for six weeks. We were being told about warranty approvals and management approvals. This car has been with Weelee for close to 2 months now and we were being told the same thing. Two weeks before the car got delivered which is today, I received alerts from tracker regarding the battery being taken out of the vehicle, meaning they only checked up on the car two weeks ago. Last week we were told that the car will be ready by Friday, my partner followed up no response from Dylan until I had to and he advised that he’s also waiting for it and that he is working hard to get it delivered to us. Today the car was delivered after 2 months of being at the repairs workshop and lo and behold the car is still leaking oil!!! Libo the guy who delivered the car even witnessed it. He called Dylan and ended up sending him a VN and he still hasn’t responded to either him or me. He ended up calling Desmond from Weelee whom I asked what he does and was told that he works directly with Dylan whom he also didn’t answer his calls. Desmond advised that the car needs to be taken back in “unfortunately “and hold ECD or whatever accountable as he didn’t know that the car had been taken to their repairs workshop for over 2 months and it still leaking oil. He advised that by this coming Friday I should have the car back, fixed this time. So for two months, the car was just parked in the workshop without anything being done on it. We’ve lost close to 18k in a period of two months. I’m being told that the car needs to be taken in, which I did. But what guarantee does one have that it will be fixed this time?! I demand to speak to Jonathan’s superior and require a full report from their workshop to submit to the ombudsman. Lastly, since the car is being financed by a bank, the next step for Weelee is to ask for a settlement letter from me to settle the car and take their car back. From this point in time, I don’t want anything to do with that sh*t company which also led me to hospital due to the stress that I’m currently under. I haven’t been eating and feeling well because of this situation. I’ve gotten into debt due to this situation. This is a warning to all of you who are thinking of buying a vehicle from Weelee, DO NOT DO IT! WBC offered a great service compared to them, I only regret not going back to them. I also regret not listening to my partner regarding complaining to the ombudsman and also writing a review as I thought I was giving them a bit of grace and had faith that all will be sorted. I’ve been made a fool because I’m black woman possibly. Whoever will be calling, needs to only ask for a settlement letter. I need this car settled this by this Friday.

Hi Keamogetswe,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we sincerely apologise for the distress and frustration you’ve encountered. It’s clear that we have not met your expectations, and we extend our deepest apologies for the issues you've faced since purchasing your vehicle. We understand how disheartening it must be, and we regret that you felt dismissed and unsupported.
We have spoken to our sales consultant who has informed us the vehicle was tested and checked over this weekend to ensure repairs were done accordingly, upon delivery yesterday afternoon, the 7th of October. The vehicle began to leak again. This morning, we advised you that the vehicle has been sent back to the workshop for further attention.
Your experience does not reflect our standards, and we will ensure that your feedback is escalated to the appropriate management team. We will be overseeing your case to ensure that you receive the support and resolution you deserve. Again, we apologise for the frustration this situation has caused, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make things right.

Regards,
The Weelee Team
