Beware of Weelee

Be Aware of Weelee

I purchased a vehicle from on the 31st of January 2024. Three days later the vehicle's engine was overheating. I due informed the salesman, Mr Gomes who referred me to the after sales manager named Jonathan. The vehicle was collected from my residence and after some negotiations it was agreed between myself and Jonathan that the vehicle will be replaced. I need to hasten to add I reluctantly agreed to the replaced after Jonathan assured me that he wishes to restore my trust in his brand. I went to collect the replacement vehicle on the 09th of March 2024 and the after sales manager took me on a short test drive. After signing the contract I took possession of the vehicle and drove home. Upon arrival at my house as I was waiting for the gate to open, the vehicle's dashboard and the bonnet started to vibrate as if there was a big animal inside which want to get out. I then parked the vehicle in the carport and decided to take the vehicle on a similar trip to confirm my observations. Needless to say, the same occurrence happened even before I reached my destination. On Monday (two days later) I informed the salesman who once again referred me to the after sales manager. On Wednesday the 13th of March 2024 the vehicle was collected from my home. I did not receive any feedback from the after sales manager and on the 20th March I contacted him and requested him to assist me to cancel the agreement and to refund the money paid to Weelee. I haven't heard from him since. People need to be aware that they are protected by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (more specifically Section 55 (2) read with Section 56) in these circumstances against ************ second hand car dealers.
