Before you by from weelee, "be sure"!

Rather than get all emotional, and throw insults, I will leave my last communication to Weelee, sent on the 3rd of September 2024, over 2 weeks ago! I have been waiting since May for a response from them.

To Whom it may concern

It has been 3 months since I was told that I would receive feedback, and I have since followed up twice with no response. I feel like bringing up the fact that we have bought 3 cars from Weelee in the last year should be mentioned, as I am a very big believer in loyalty and repeat business, however the lack of interest that you show in customer service leaves me feeling that this means nothing to the Weelee organization.

As you are a corporation, I best leave my feelings at the door and give you facts:

26th March 2024 – I bought a Ford Ecosport 2015 with 136816km, at R174,777.84 (Financed through Wesbank at R252,745.92. This car was bought for my mother, who would cover the monthly payments.

3rd May 2024 - The engine light came on and the car lost significant power. My mother took the car to Motus Ford on the 6th May 2024.

6th May 2024 – I got in contact with Corne de Lange, explained the situation and requested the motor vehicle warranty documents.

Motus Ford quoted us R67,946.40 to work on and fix the clutch, of which R6,500 was covered my our Mototech motor warranty. Their initial diagnosis was that the clutch kit needed replacing, as the gears were jumping, but have since come back to advise that the lever clutch releases are also needing to be replaced. (R1492.13 of this amount was for the water bottle and pump repair, which is not relevant here)

14th May 2024 - I emailed Corne & Eunice de Lange, who assisted us with all 3 cars, and requested a goodwill contribution, as the car had not even been driven for 3000km’s by the time the problems occurred.

16th May 2024 - I called and requested the email address of a “higher up” to Corne, as I had not received feedback and resent the email, this time to Corne, Eunice and Nick Cerabona. No response.

22nd May 2024 - Emailed again to Corne, Eunice and Nick Cerabona, as no feedback had been received. Nick immediately called me, and I explained the problem. He was very pleasant and advised that he was not the correct person to handle this situation. Nick Cerabona kindly forwarded my email to Gerhard Theron, and shortly after, Corne forwarded my email to Nic Sillato.

23rd May 2024 - Nic Sillato emailed and advised that he will discuss the matter with “higher management”. I responded the next day with a thank you. I gave this time, as a corporation of your size has a lot more to immediately deal with than our request.

No resolution or mediation response received.

18th June 2024 - Sent an email to Corne, Jonathan Jenkins and Nic Sillato requesting feedback. No resolution or mediation response received.

3rd July 2024 - Sent an email to Corne, Jonathan Jenkins and Nic Sillato requesting feedback.

Still no resolution or mediation response received.

And this leaves us here, today. I have not had any feedback in 14 weeks. I find this intensely unprofessional. I truly hope that I can get a response from Weelee, one that can once and for all resolve this issue, and get my mother some of her savings back.
