Web Design Hub- Unlike!

We have been in contact with Bruce from Web Design hub for a few months as we wanted to re-do our companies website. Bruce was informed about the entire scope of the job by 3 employees of our company, and understood exactly what we wanted. He provided solutions, methods and quotes. We asked him several times, maybe 5 times about a specific aspect of the job and each time he said don't stress, it will be ok. We eventually paid the deposit required and asked Bruce AGAIN if he is sure it will be ok and the minute we paid the deposit Bruce said he was "apparently" not aware about something and a part of his suggestion about the operation of our website, which he recommended, would not work as he suggested prior. We were informed that we now had to either pay extra +-80K once off or other high continues monthly fixed costs to have the functionality we wanted. This changed the entire picture for us and as a result we then requested that he refund the deposit as we need to go back to the drawing board to find the best way forward for our needs. He refused to pay back our deposit, making ridiculous excuses and we were forced to hand the matter and all communication to our legal team and they agreed that Bruce mis-sold a solution to us and requested that he pay back the money. Bruce said he does not have the money, which is very strange as he markets on his website that he has over 1200 active marketing accounts amongst other. (perhaps this is also a tactic he uses to try and mislead us as the consumer). Bruce begged and promised to pay back the funds by latest the end of the month. End of the month came and he did not pay back and proved further that he cannot be trusted. He eventually paid after we gave him a last chance to pay or face a court order against him. I do not trust this MickyMouse one man operation as according to our experience, he is ********* and dishonest. I would not even recommend him to my worst enemy. On his website and social media he portray to be this fantastic company, but according to me and our experience, this is so far from the truth its not even funny.
