Wealthtec collects months of fees only to state they cannot assist
I am reposting my review regarding my experience with Wealthtec Holdings (Account ***).
I engaged Wealthtec to assist me with a highly problematic debt review status placed on my identity profile by a third-party company. From the onset, I explained that this status was placed on my profile without my informed consent or understanding of the severe consequences. I was verbally informed by my assigned portfolio manager and other consultants that there was a strong possibility of resolving this, which is the sole reason I continued to pay my monthly fees.
Surprisingly, after months of collecting my regular installments, Wealthtec contacted me the exact week my final payment cleared to inform me that they cannot assist and that my status cannot be changed by them. They essentially did a basic paperwork shuffle for months, only to give me an outcome that helps me in no way whatsoever.
When I requested a refund because I was led to believe there was a workable solution, my request was flatly denied by management.
I have now taken matters into my own hands. I have bypassed Wealthtec completely and escalated a formal dispute directly to the National Credit Regulator (NCR). Furthermore, I have officially registered a complaint against Wealthtec with the National Consumer Commission (NCC) to dispute these billing and service practices.
Please be cautious when paying for ongoing services here, as you may find your funds exhausted with zero results.
