Appalling Behaviour From Real Estate Agent from We Trade Property

So on Sunday the 14 August 2022, myself and my partners family went to view a house in Camelot. The viewing was between 4pm-5pm. The realtor was Chris Europa. When we got the we waited for him to finish up with the previous client. He came over and I introduced myself. He wanted to know who the people are with me. And I said it’s my partners family. He introduced himself to them and asked me where my partner was and I told him that his away for work.

So as we about to proceed into the house he says that the sellers are home. And as I walk into the house there everyone was sitting in the lounge watching tv. I got a massive fright. He kept reassuring that it’s fine that we can go in. I was so uncomfortable. I viewed the place as fast as I could because I really felt uncomfortable having the sellers there. I couldn’t really look at the place.

Later the evening I received a message from Chris, the message read as follows:

“ Absolutely disgusting behavior for an agent! Please treat your clients better next time! I will notify all the agents in the area of you. 😡”

To which my response was: “ Is this meant for me?” But to my amazement he blocked me and did not want to accept my calls. I spoke to my sister the Monday and we both were confused as to what was going. She called him on my behalf wanting to know if the message was intended for me it was it a mistake.

When she spoke to him he told her that me and my partners family( his mother, grandmother and 2 brothers, who I just picked up from church) looked suspicious. We were not social, we did not communicate with the sellers of the house. He even told my sister that the sellers agreed that we looked suspicious. He then started raising his voice and ended the call while my sister was speaking to him. And again I am confused. When buying a place who are you purchasing it through the agent or the sellers and as the buyer who are you suppose to direct your questions to the seller or agent.

I contacted the office because that was utter nonsense. He profiled me and my partners family based on the fact that I was uncomfortable which is **************. The irony about this accusation is I work in Risk and looking for suspicious people is my job. The feedback from the office was they were going to speak to him and give me feedback as I advised the person I spoke to that I would like a lay a formal complaint against this guy. This is no way to treat people and I’m a first time buyer as well.

The feedback from the office was that Chris would contact me, not sure how he would be able to redeem himself, but thus far he hasn’t even sent a message.

People like Chris think they can get away with being unprofessional and plain out rude. I might not be the first person who his done this to, just maybe the first to speak out about it. His behaviour was appalling and the fact that We Trade Property is just okay with sheds a whole new light onto them.
