Creating expectations

I tried to use a website called webuyyourcars via the Internet to get a better trade in value for my vehicle They were very quick to respond & gave me a low & high expected value that I could possibly get for my vehicle but I had to take the vehicle to a dealer to confirm which price I would get ( low or high) To my surprise, the dealer offered way less than what webuyyourcars stated to me upfront Whilst I fully understand the dynamics of the used car market, the expectation was created by webuyyourcars that I would at least get the low amount but in this case the dealer offered way less than the lower vehicle This is just a word a of caution to all users that expectations can we created
